A Time of Detoxing Part II
OCTOBER 19, 2021
“Autumn should not inspire harshness or renunciation, just a quiet redirecting the chi from outward to inward.” – Liu Ming
EMOTIONAL DETOX
At this 2021 Autumn Equinox Season, make time to explore your level of fear; GET REAL with your Shadow Self!
Especially look at a detox from the energies of fear circling the planet, the people, our environments due to the ongoing, escalating Cov19 situation.
Hmm, did you just say, “I don’t see any escalation. It’s new normal.” Is your fear holding you to this belief?
For Emotional Balance
1) Explore a pleasant emotion / memory.
Pause for grounding and cleansing breaths.
2) Explore some unpleasant emotions (Start small – like that time I got knocked down at a Devo show.) and say a “mantra” like:
***I see this unpleasant emotion is just energy.
***I observe it passing without attachment (make a gentle sweeping/releasing gesture).
3) Explore some pleasant emotion with mantra:
*** This pleasant emotion is just energy. I can observe it passing without wishing it would last.
CONSIDER THIS
Are we making rational decision about a medical intervention, unclouded by emotions or subliminal manipulation?
BODY DETOX
Of course, you can do a diet detox, fast, intermittent fast, eliminate something but I’ll leave that to the naturopaths.
And I leave the segment “Yoga, Dance and Movement” to the yoginis. SWEATING in whatever manner is very good detox.
Let’s talk HYDRATION….Give your detox plan a boost with detox water, healthy juice drinks with detox ingredients, and detoxifying herbal teas. I like a Tension Tamer tea bag in a tea ball in my H20 bottle!
Water that is infused and/or flavored with natural ingredients, like lemon / lime wedges, cucumber slices, citrus juices, berries, mint, parsley and other herbs or spices makes for great detox hydration.
NOTE: You must do your own research since I am not a health professional.
HERBS and TEAS
At this Fall to Winter time of year…
Some adaptogenic herbs could be useful, like:
Astragalus, Licorice, Turmeric
CLEANSING HERBS for Liver
Milk Thistle, Dandelion Root, Lemon Balm,
Green Tea
For Kidneys
Dandelion Leaf, Cleavers, Uva Ursi
For colon cleanse,
try Senna Tea.
CONSIDER THIS
Vaccine-acquired immunity is often very temporary and sometimes you don’t get it at all.

Bath, Head Wash or Foot Soak Mixes
NOTE: You must do your own research since I am not a health professional.
Caution:
Do not take hot baths
or salt baths (including Epsom salt)
if you have heart trouble,
high blood pressure, or are diabetic.
Soaking body or feet in salt water and essential oils such as tea tree, lavender, frankincense (check for contraindications before use) is another level of detox.
This particular mix can be used to soak your feet or to enjoy in a full bath or pour over your head in the shower.
Basic Salt Soak Bath Formula
Minerals and salts make the bath water feel silky
and leave your skin cleansed and soft.
1 cup sea salts
2 cups baking soda
1 cup Epsom salts
Optional:
1 to 2T glycerin per bath
Essential oils (mix with carrier oil)
Combine the sea salts, baking soda, and Epsom salts in a bowl. Stir to blend.
Pour 1/4 cup or so into the bath while the tub is filling.
Add 1 to 2T glycerin to keep your skin from drying out
and essential oils of choice.
Shelf life: Indefinite
Storage: Glass jar with a screw top
{Just mix salts and baking soda for storage
because you may not want to use the same EOs every time…)
For Head (Crown and Third Eye Chakras) Detox:
Using a non-glass container (cuz it will be slippery; don’t risk broken glass accident!)
Mix some salt (I love pink Himalayan salt!), Baking Soda, Epsom Salt with water.
To add Essential Oil (Lavender or your favorite), mix it with a carrier oil then add to water mix.
Sea Water adds extra energy.
Take the container into shower and pour it over your head, thinking about releasing stress and returning to balance.

A more intense clearing bath mix
to cleanse, purify, and remove negativity
Use a combination of salts, herbs, and oils:
SALTS – White Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan and/or Black Volcanic
HERBS – Eucalyptus, Rue, Hyssop, and/or Rose Geranium,
EOs – Rosemary, Lemon, and/or Frankincense
More purification herbs and ingredients:
Bay, Carnation, Cedar, Juniper, Lemon Verbena,
Nettle, Sage, Thyme, Witch Hazel
Mix as above “Basic Salt Soak Bath Formula”

For fall/winter cold/flu season,
using a neti pot or other nasal sinus
clearing tool with a salt mix
is great prevention and healing support.

“Four Thieves (Vinegar)”
It’s an interesting story about some thieves in the time of the Black Death, a REAL PLAGUE.
>>>>…four thieves from Marseilles who, while plundering for treasures, protected themselves with garlic and a concoction of herbs extracted in vinegar. The tale is a fascinating exploration of herbal lore, but there are so many versions of the story that it is up to you to choose which to believe<<< by Ingrid Naiman (herbalist, writer)
She goes way into the story, even some Nostradamus! Various recipes for the Four Thieves Vinegar are included.
Be sure to check out the picture of “Dr. Schnabel, the Plague Doc.” I would love to have an outfit like that to take a walk to Berkeley Bowl!!!

Ingrid’s Formula : Potent Protection https://www.sacred-medicine.org/sms_products/sms_immuneherbs.php
There are Four Ts formulas to be purchased online which could be added to your personal formula as an extra boost. Since there are various formulas, one would probably need to do some divination to figure out which one is best for you and or use pendulum on each ingredient to see what yours needs.
Here’s one basic formula by SUSAN PESZNECKER
4 of your favorite fragrant or fiery herbs or spices (such as allspice, cayenne, cinnamon, dried peppers, peppercorns, rosemary, sage, tarragon, etc.)
1 cup vinegar
1 pint-size Mason jar
5 garlic cloves
Crush or break the hard peppers and spices. Chop the herbs. Pour the vinegar into the Mason jar.
Slice each garlic clove in half and add to the jar. Add your four chosen additions, then screw on the lid (not a metal lid) and shake. Store out of direct light, shaking once a day. In five days, it’s ready to use. (Of course, strain it.)
